Tomorrow is never promised. It is as though we live our lives thinking that all will be waiting for us to live another day in the same routine with the same expectations, and with the same intentions. So often we hear of tragedies happening that strike in the most shocking way and then we have regret.

Thoughts of not loving enough, not speaking words of kindness enough, not gifting a smile, not holding hands, or honoring a precious moment. Until…..something happens that reminds us of our temporary existence. When we lose someone we love or we get ill and are met with our mortality, we are suddenly front and center with the in-your-face bold reality that we may not be here tomorrow.

So what if we choose to live our lives today as though our time is limited and therefore precious because It IS!

How would we show up? Would we choose to forgive, to release the thoughts, emotions, and meanings we gave the experiences that caused us pain, and choose to have compassion and embrace the concept that all is Divine?

Maybe, just maybe, in our moments of darkness, it is a call to a deeper resolve in our ability to love especially in the moments we don’t want to. Or we think, I will forgive tomorrow, or I will call that person tomorrow, make amends tomorrow. Then tomorrow never comes and you continue to live with the pain in your heart that fuels actions that are not congruent with your spirit.

If we are love innately, then we are working against the grain of what God intended for us. With every act of “Unforgiveness” we create an incongruence, a jagged flow to our energy and our Spirit starves. It starves for what it is here to do, which is, LOVE. Purely and unapologetically. To share in kindness, support, a smile, a presence of focus and understanding, a compassionate embrace, or a gentle touch. To allow only kind words to pass through our lips and that we recognize that anything other than a benevolent act is a call for love.

It is in this moment that we surrender to the space where we are without a net…the space of total trust and Faith that all is Divine and that God has a plan. With this in mind, we are able to face our challenges with a deeper level of bravery, a courage that allows us to show up with humbled integrity to serve and love even when our body wants to resist the tall order of acting in love when we are hurt.

This is when we cherish every moment and every day. We wake up with a profound level of gratitude that takes our breath away and gives us permission to unshackle the chains of judgment, fear, anger, or resentment and liberates us back to the magnificence of our Spirit, our journey back home to the Divinity of our soul and where God lives within us.

This is the gift of life.

Come home, open up your heart, and live as though tomorrow may never come. When you do, you expand the energy that is healing; you send a ripple of impact that affects all of us and you blaze the trail for the rest of us to do the same. This is how we, together, change the world.
